Responsibilities
Technical Proposal & Tendering Management Lead the end-to-end bid preparation process for the unit, including resource allocation and tender planning, slot allocation Coordinate the Tendering Team for the preparation technical proposals and costing estimates Ensure offers are in full compliance, with customer requirements/specifications, regional grid codes, environmental regulations, and specific utility technical standards Lead the ITO-to-OTR transfer process once a contract is secured and handover to the fulfillment team Foster the implementation of tendering processes and tools (e.g., SmartCost, TenderBolt) to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy Costing, Estimation & Optimization Work with engineering to optimize the designs based on customer preferences, total cost of ownership, sub-supplier panel, sustainability aspects Collaborate with Unit Functions : engineering, procurement, sourcing, industry, testing, and Finance to develop accurate cost estimates Support the team in defining the scope of work for logistic, E&C, installation requirements, accounting for raw material market volatility Support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by leading demand and production slot management Drive/support cost-out initiatives Lead by Unit cost-out Leader Cost Estimation Variance: Minimal variance between "As Tendered" vs. "As Sold" manufacturing costs Commercial Strategy & Risk Mitigation Support the qualification process for new countries and customers Participate Risk Assessment Reviews to ensure full screening and identification of technical risks at ITO stage Partner with Commercial/Legal teams to review contract/PO’s, identify risk profile in relation to the T&C’ – implement price escalation formulas to protect against cost variations and other necessary mitigation plans Operate as ONE TEAM with the Commercial/PSS community wrt. bid strategies, GO-NO process, "should-cost" analysis, and pricing levels Contribute to market/competitor analysis Required
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
Experience
Significant relevant experience in Tendering and/or Commercial roles with direct exposure to external customers Language: Fluency in German, English, French (preferable) Mobility: Ability to travel for business meetings as required Desired Characteristics Technical understanding of power transformer physics, design criteria, and industrial applications Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and loss evaluation formulas Strong understanding of contractual T&Cs and their business implications
