Bargaining Unit: No Bronx Community College is looking for summer instructors to work with our GEAR UP INSPIRES Summer Program. This program will serve rising 6th and 7th-grade students using engaging pedagogical strategies and an enrichment interactive curriculum. Our Institute works to promote equity and excellence in the education and learning of Bronx students in K-12 by involving administrators, teachers, parents, and the students themselves in high-quality programs that support and enhance educational opportunities. Job Description: Teach summer enrichment courses in ELA, Math, and Art Implement the provided curriculum and differentiating lesson plans to meet all students’ needs Administer pre- and post-assessments to track student progress during the summer program Attend field trips and support in the supervision of all students during transportation, walking to the location, during the trip, and returning to the summer school site Assist in supporting workshops provided by Coaches Escort students to the cafeteria in an orderly fashion Assist in the check-in of students by taking daily attendance and making sure all students have been accounted for before submitting attendance to the administrative staff Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be available and able to teach the entire five weeks New York State Certification for secondary education in the content area required Masters degree (preferred) and 3 years of teaching experience with high school students required
Pay Range
Minimum - Maximum: $61/hourly RFCUNY

These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs.
