Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Position Reports to:- Associate Director World Vision India Purpose of the Job Lead the programme planning and execution at Area Development Programmes (ADP), build relationships with local stakeholders, and ensure the staff team's accountability and effectiveness to result in a community-based programme that enhances children's well-being, particularly the most vulnerable, and which leads to sustainable change. KEY DELIVERABLES: Ensure quality and timely programme execution Build local partnership and resource mobilisation Deliver high-quality evidence based reports and sponsorship deliverables PRIORITIES Provide strong and positive leadership to the Area Development Program (ADP) ensuring competent and motivated local staff are hired and retained and high-performers identified and nurtured Support professional and personal development of ADP staff with an emphasis on-the-job coaching and facilitating ongoing action learning and reflection Lead planning of child selection as part of programme and lead a design process that ensures sponsorship is integrated into programmes to ensure it is fun and meaningful for children and that communities lead care and protection Maximise the benefit of sponsorship-related activities towards Child Well-Being outcomes relevant in the AP Plan through intentional integration of sponsorship activities during programming implementation Work closely with the Sponsorship Manager and team on all aspects of sponsorship administration and multi-year plans. Provide oversight to ensure integrated monitoring plan includes children as part of programme/ SIP design process (including Integrated Activity Plan) Ensure all Registered Children are monitored in accordance to WV India standards. Ensure staff and partners understand WV Child Protection Policy Ensure efforts are taken to respond promptly and appropriately to incidents Ensure ADP raises awareness for prevention and reporting of child protection incidents across the program area Ensure that children are involved in age-appropriate ways in all aspects of the programme. SKILLS Project Management Skills Networking and collaborating skills Communication skills Interpersonal skills Articulation skills KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS Master of Social Work or any other PG with 5 years of experience in development sector Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities and social and cultural constraints and realities Excellent knowledge about research philosophies, principles, statistical definitions, scientific tool and techniques A thorough knowledge & understanding of LEAP/PQ/PE/DPA standards and related DME Processes Expert knowledge of information presentation techniques (graphing, charting, tabling etc.) and interpreting them EXPERIENCE 5 years in Development work Applicant Types Accepted: Local Applicants Only Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness.
