Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting

UK1 Finastra International Limited United Kingdom, London
Onsite Full Time

Job description

Who are we? At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission‑critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries. What will you contribute? You will be a key leader within our revenue accounting team, responsible for ensuring that customer contracts are accounted for accurately under IFRS 15 and that revenue is reported reliably and on time. Leading a team of 3–5 professionals, you will own a significant portion of the operational revenue accounting cycle — from reviewing contracts and applying the correct accounting treatment, through to revenue schedules, reconciliations, and reporting. You will combine technical revenue expertise with strong operational execution, keeping the close running smoothly while raising the quality and efficiency of how the work gets done. As a hands-on people leader, you will develop your team, partner closely with the Director, and play an active role in the process improvements that help the function scale with the business.

Responsibilities

& Deliverables Review customer contracts and determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment under IFRS 15, documenting conclusions clearly and to an audit-ready standard. Operationalize accounting treatments by setting up and maintaining accurate revenue schedules in the ERP system. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close for your area, delivering accurate and timely revenue, accrued income, and deferred income balances. Perform and review revenue contract reconciliations, supporting the move toward a more frequent reconciliation cadence. Manage and develop a team of 3–5 professionals, setting clear priorities, reviewing their work, and supporting their growth. Support the work of outsourced contractors and third-party project resources within your area, ensuring quality and consistency of output. Support the revenue, accrued income, and deferred income elements of the full company audit and relevant statutory audits, preparing supporting schedules and responding to auditor queries. Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, increase automation, and improve efficiency. Partner with the Director of Revenue Accounting on technical matters, reporting deliverables, and the ongoing maturity of the function. Required
