Employee Type

Regular-Full time Union/Non: This is a non-union position At Enbridge, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable energy while driving financial excellence and innovation. We are seeking a Systems Controller to join our Gas Control team in Houston, Texas — a safety-critical, front-line role at the heart of our natural gas transmission operations. In this position, you will work a rotating 12-hour shift, responsible for monitoring and controlling the real-time operation of compressor stations, pipeline facilities, measuring and regulating stations, and other facilities to optimally receive and deliver varying volumes of gas for pipeline customers. This is your opportunity to build a foundational career in pipeline operations with a company that prioritizes safety, reliability, and the people behind both. Apply today! What You Will Do: Implement daily planned pipeline activities, optimize system performance through efficient use of horsepower and pipeline facilities, and proactively communicate changes to field personnel, teammates, and gas control management. Coordinate activities between field and gas control personnel during planned or unplanned pipeline outages, communicating with field teams and management to address any issues that arise. Use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor pressures, pack levels, flow data, alarms, gas quality, and other operational data — and to operate compressor stations, regulators, meter flow and pressure set points, ensuring timely flow and pressure requirements and limiting pipelines to maximum operating pressure at all times. Serve as front-line response to emergency or abnormal conditions, and apprise management of situations of concern — such as sudden changes in demand or loss of compression — to support timely and cost-efficient decision-making. Perform all work in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including those set by the Department of Transportation (DOT), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
