DualEntry USA, New York City
Onsite Full Time

Salary: $115,000–$170,000 / year

Job description

About DualEntry

DualEntry is building the OS for finance.

Every business needs a financial system of record, yet the world's largest fintech market ($220B+) still runs on software from the 1990s. DualEntry's AI-native ERP automates accounting from data entry to close, so finance teams move faster, spend less and incur less risk.

In just 2 years we've raised $100M+ from Lightspeed, Khosla Ventures, Contrary and Google Ventures and earned the trust of customers from $5M ARR to publicly traded companies.

We hire outliers - people who have achieved difficult things, in their careers or beyond. You'll find leaders, colleagues who've competed at the highest levels of sport, performed on Broadway, trained with UFC champions and founded the country’s largest Python community.

Why This Role Matters Now

Where you'll create impact

  • Write and edit documentation that helps accountants use and adopt DualEntry as their ERP to save time and create strategic business insights
  • Write and edit documentation that helps developers integrate DualEntry into their tooling and projects, from first API call to production deployment
  • Set the documentation standards and style guidelines that ensure consistency as content scales
  • Create and contribute to our documentation toolchain, including our release notes and supporting documentation infrastructure process
  • Review product features for accuracy and clarity, working with product managers and engineers to resolve issues
  • Contribute to information architecture decisions - how content is organized, navigated and discovered
  • Ensure documentation stays current as the platform evolves, identifying gaps and outdated content proactively
  • Build accounting workflows and support customers and the customer success team with with hands on guidance and training - we believe the best documentation comes from firsthand experience with the platform and real world customer experience

What sets you up for success

  • Hardcore work ethic and high agency
  • Experience writing technical documentation, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Enough technical fluency to work through tutorials independently, use nascent ERP features, and identify errors - you don't need to be an engineer or an accountant, but you need to be technically curious and comfortable at the command line
  • Experience with docs-as-code workflows: Git, Markdown, static site generators
  • Familiarity with documentation automation - linting tools like Vale, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions or scripting to improve workflows
  • Strong opinions about what makes documentation good, backed by experience seeing what works and what doesn't
  • The ability to give and receive editorial feedback constructively
  • Experience or genuine interest in working with accountants - you'll be working with back office finance functions as a part of this job
  • Experience with accounting, finance, ERPs, etc. is a plus but not required
