Franklin Templeton Fixed Income is looking for a Senior Client Portfolio Manager (SCPM) based in Singapore to join the team and support a range of Fixed Income investment strategies for the APAC region. Reporting to the Head of Global Business Development, the SCPM will be responsible for representing the investment team externally. The SCPM's primary responsibilities include developing and owning the business pipeline and building relationships with Franklin Templeton’s distribution teams. The SCPM will meet with clients, prospects and intermediaries to articulate the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific investment products. Additionally, a SCPM will work alongside members of the investment team and their respective client portfolio managers, focusing on partnering with key distribution teams and clients to support business growth and the retention of assets. How You Will Add Value? Communicate the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific fixed income products in both a client service and sales capacity for both mutual funds and separate accounts focusing on Institutional clients and prospects. This includes providing updates on overall financial market performance, macro-outlook, and the team’s investment outlook. Independently acts as a proxy for Portfolio Managers (PMs) by serving as the main investment contact for clients and/or intermediaries. Provide the PM’s perspective to internal business and distribution partners Develop strong relationships with the distribution teams to establish new client relationships and maintain/grow existing client relationships. Collaborate closely with the Head of Global Business Development to demonstrate strategic direction-setting and prioritization. Develop and own the business pipeline through local distribution teams. Promote, defend, and competitively position the product line. Actively engage in distribution initiatives, service key channels and clients, and contribute to new product initiatives. Takes ownership of gathering and retention of assets under management. Challenge and validate the appropriateness of investment strategies and processes to meet clients' needs within agreed guidelines. Contribute to RFPs for complex investment questions. Contribute to investment commentaries and thought leadership pieces. Partner closely with Marketing to create strategic/global messaging and investment content for assigned investment strategies. Facilitate the creation of investment content and product messaging. Stay abreast of market trends, the competitive landscape, and the relative positioning of the investment team. What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience

Minimum 15 years of financial services experience; prior experience as a Portfolio Manager/Product/Portfolio specialist in Fixed Income desired.

Education

& Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required, CFA or advanced degree preferred. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of capital markets and the APAC region. Excellent grasp and familiarity with portfolio management, construction and analytical tools, risk management, and performance attribution. Demonstrated knowledge of distribution channels, investment vehicles, and pricing structures. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management. Effectively deliver presentations on complex financial and economic topics. Self-driven, resourceful, and entrepreneurial with a positive mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Other: Extensive travel required, estimated at 40–60% of the time. #MID_SENIOR_LEVEL
