Location: KL Eco City Workplace Type: On Site As a Food Technologist, you will develop solutions across all food application areas (Beverage, Bakery, Dairy, Savory, etc) supporting our Texture and Healthful Solutions Strategy. Activities will include-preparing prototypes for customer meetings, ongoing customer support, bench top analysis. He/she will work closely with Sales and Applications teams to promote functional, value-added ingredients and solutions to meet customer needs. What you will do: Supporting implementation of Ingredion’s Texture and Healthful Solutions Strategy, including marketing campaigns and new product launch Supporting assigned accounts and leading customer projects with these accounts Understanding the strategy of customers and how it translates into their technical needs. Identifying how customers can improve and expand their product offerings using Ingredion’s technical solutions. Applying this knowledge to build value for customers Providing technical support to customers for a broad range of food applications. Applying product and application knowledge to identify customer solutions. Executing well-defined experiments and procedures to prepare food and beverage prototypes Utilizing a range of analytical tools to support customers Conducting pilot and production scale trials at customers’ facilities Building open and collaborative relationships with customers and Ingredion’s Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Applications teams Utilizing project management skills to deliver projects on time and prioritize work according to shifting customer needs Ensure development of high-quality prototypes for customers and events presentations from concept to finished product. Develop well supported recommendations on formulations; suggest next steps based on analytical evaluations. Conduct sensory tests to help identify best solution or direction for research projects. What you will bring: Bachelor in Food Science/ Food Engineering with 5 years of food industry experience Prior customer experience and working with technical information (i.e., food formulations, food processing specifications, pilot plant procedures, etc.) Excellent English communication skills; ability to present to large or senior audiences Good sensory skills Good computer literacy (e.g: PPT, Excel, SAP, Salesforce, etc) Ability to travel within South East Asia Who you are: Have a strong Customer focus, enjoy building relationships and networking with internal and external stakeholders, listening and understanding their needs and working together toward solutions. Like to work on the bench and/or in the pilot plant developing formulations and testing ingredient performance. Like to offer new ideas and think out-of-the-box, and willing to continuously learn.
