Position Summary Why join our team? The role is located in the Samsung Networks Europe’s (SNE) team of Mission Critical Support Services. The team is empowering our delivery of Public Service solutions in Europe with our market leading portfolio of products ranging from Device Clients, RAN, Core and MCPTX Application Services. The Senior MCX Engineer sit across the Test and Delivery teams under the leadership of the Test and Service Delivery Manager and play a key role in SNEs mission as the team who lead the testing, performance and operational availabilty of our products, meeting customer expectations, contractual milestones and SLAs. Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities You will be a technical expert in IMS and Core technology and protocols (ideally MCX also) with a proven history in leading complex Core deployments from Design to Operations. Daily SME support for defect triage calls to resolve complex networks issues. Lifecycle management of trouble tickets to successful resolution, ensuring all information for R&D investigation is provided and recommendations implemented. Lead deep dive analytics and fault investigations of feature and performance test cases to provide resolutions within SLAs Peer-Review and release of daily test progress reports to ensure accuracy and visibility of any risks to defined project timeline or deliverables. Lead the performance analysis and troubleshooting of the MCX Core. Validation of all supporting test cases, upgrade procedures, trouble-shooter guides and product documentation to facilitate consistent test execution. Provide training and development support for MCX engineers. Plan and execute sw upgrade and regression testing on VNF based Core nodes on VMware architecture providing updates MOPs and materials to ensure consistent successful deployments, Technical support for integration to Samsung MCX nodes providing analysis, feedback or logs to 3rd parties for their solution development or integration. Provide SME input to define the MCX Core Test Strategy and Test Plans for all network elements and sw releases phases. What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: A comprehensive background knowledge in 4G/5G Core / IMS network technologies, in particular Mission Critical Voice/Video and Data features. Extensive expertise of IMS and VoLTE architecture, interfaces and protocols, ideally with hands on knowledge of testing Mission Critical Voice, Video and Data services when deployed on Commercial VoLTE networks Extensive knowledge of testing tools and diagnosis: Wireshark tracing, system log analysis of SIP, RTP, RTCP, Diameter interactions, Load testing tools (IXIA) and ticketing applications such as Jira and ServiceNow OS lifecycle management for VM deployments on VMware, greenfield deployment and upgrades Expertise in e2e troubleshooting for LTE and TETRA networks and call flows. In depth knowledge of 3GPP specifications and Mission Critical features. Extensive expertise in IP networking, routing protocols and network troubleshooting. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with written and spoken English. Ability to maintain high standards or work and remain adaptable to changes in a dynamic working environment. You have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecoms or a related field. Awareness of NIST, OWASP, GCF and UK TSA requirements and how they impact delivery and testing of secure networks Willing to support an on-call rota as required. Ability to work for extended periods at customer locations to support project activities Ideally with existing SC clearance or must gain once hired What does success look like? Highly motivated and self driven to lead and develop members of a small team of test and operations experts. Ability to execute complex test activities to defined project and test plan milestones. Collaborate with PMO functions to deliver timely updates on project achievements and ensure any risks are categorised and resolved in the appropriate reports. Develop strong and effective working relationship with customers and partners. Be the SME for in-depth technical investigation across E2E architectures for both LTE and TETRA networks. Skills and
