Job Description Summary Ares Asia is currently searching for a highly motivated, diligent teammate to join as Sr. Associate in Ares Asia Credit Group specializing in Asset Management and Investor Relations for their offices in Asia. This individual will be based in India, and will be responsible for monitoring of allocated portfolio of investments at the India GIFT City office, addressing investor information requests and market/competitor research analysis. Incumbent must have strong organizational, interpersonal, quantitative and analytical skills and must be able to meet deadline requirements. The position is based in GIFT City, Gujarat, India. Primary functions & responsibilities The Sr. Associate will play a critical role in the end-to-end portfolio monitoring and asset management of complex investments across India-focused strategies. This role will act as a key interface between the Investment team and Asset Management leadership, driving performance oversight, risk management, and value creation across the portfolio. The incumbent will handle a certain distinct allocated list of investments and shall perform the following activities for that account. Asset Management- Own end-to-end portfolio monitoring for a diversified set of complex investments across multiple strategies (private credit, special situations, structured credit, hybrid capital, etc.) with a primary focus on India. Lead periodic portfolio reviews with the Investment team and Asset Management Heads, providing detailed performance updates, covenant tracking, financial analysis, and early warning signals. Undertake valuation of various investments, evaluate, and revise the methodologies as the investments develop and evolve during the life cycle of investment. Draft/finalize valuation commentaries and reports in conjunction with the portfolio managers and present valuation analysis and recommendations to the valuation committee. Act as a senior point of contact for cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and investor relations. Data Integrity and Analysis: Ensure that data accurately flows from various systems and troubleshoot issues Investor Relations (IR)- Produce monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors, working with Finance and Asset Management teams to collate relevant data Support the IR team at head office to build responses to investor questionnaires, due diligence, and ad hoc requests for existing and potential investors Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed
