Be the First to Apply Job Description Deputy Chief Manager Process SafetyJob Description Business: Global Pharma Department: Sustainability & EHS Location: Kurla Travel: Moderate Job Overview Work as Subject matter expert (SEM) for global sites in India, UK , NA and Canada to ensure compliance with all Process Safety regulations and standards. Experience 12-15 years Process Safety & Performance •Implementation of OSHA’s/RBPS process safety management across all Piramal manufacturing sites. •Promote a strong process safety culture to prevent major incidents. •Support sites in reducing incident rates and improving overall EHS performance. •Ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) from incidents, audits, and reviews. •Drive training and competency-building programs for employees and contractors in process safety and EHS. Roles and responsibilities Process Safety Improvement •Lead capability-building initiatives by developing and delivering training programs. •Conduct reviews and maturity assessments of the Process Safety Management (PSM) framework and implement improvements. •Establish governance mechanisms for sustaining PSM improvements across sites. •Support digital solutions and software implementation for process safety management. •Strengthen reporting and analysis of EHS leading indicators across sites. •Drive implementation of process safety leading indicator guidelines within reporting systems. •Ensure effective tracking, feedback, and closure of improvement actions. •Conduct regular reviews of site EHS performance and facilitate knowledge sharing. •Coordinate and lead internal, external, and statutory EHS audits across sites. •Provide guidance to project teams on EHS compliance requirements for new projects. Competencies •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Process Safety / Environmental Engineering or related field. •Significant experience in EHS and process safety within pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industries. •Proven track record in PSM implementation, audits, certifications, and compliance management. •Exposure to global regulatory requirements is an advantage. •Certifications in process safety, auditing, or risk management are desirable. •Good communication skills and working with cross functional teams is desired.
