Job Title Electrical Project Engineer I Job Description Electrical Project Engineer | Pune | Full-time We are seeking an experienced Power Distribution Engineer to support the design, engineering, coordination, and execution of electrical power distribution systems for Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and related infrastructure projects. The role involves complete lifecycle responsibility from concept design through detailed engineering, installation support, testing, and as-built documentation. What you will do Basic Design & System Engineering Develop power distribution architecture for BHS and MDN systems. Define load categories and electrical demand requirements based on project specifications. Prepare preliminary system power requirements and Functional Design Specifications (FDS). Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including controls, mechanical, civil, ICT, HVAC, and BIM. Define interface requirements for BIM integration including PDP locations and routing coordination. Detailed Engineering Perform detailed electrical load calculations using Caneco and Excel. Prepare and finalize: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) Panel schedules Load lists Feeder sizing Coordinate Power Distribution Panel (PDP) engineering with OEMs and suppliers. Perform engineering studies including: Voltage drop analysis Short circuit calculations Power factor correction Selectivity/coordination studies Harmonic analysis Design and finalize earthing and grounding systems for BHS installations. Coordinate cable containment systems including trays, ladders, and feeder routes. Drawings & Documentation Prepare electrical layouts, shop drawings, and installation details. Develop detailed panel drawings including: General arrangements Internal layouts Breaker configurations Termination details PLC I/O interfaces Prepare as-built documentation and final engineering deliverables in PDF/CAD formats. Hands-on experience with: Caneco AutoCAD Microsoft Excel BIM coordination environments Good understanding of: IEC standards Electrical protection systems UPS and essential power systems Earthing & bonding Harmonic mitigation Ability to coordinate with consultants, OEMs, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
