Responsibilities
Initiate, research, and recommend new investment ideas Understand trends in financial markets and impact on current and future investments. Analyze portfolio risks, exposures, and performance drivers. Participate in development of less experienced personnel. Work with client-facing colleagues to strengthen client relationships and gain new ones. Prepare documentation to communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risks, and pending decisions. Participate in regular meetings and calls to discuss organizational developments, investment strategy, performance and risk. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
