Candidates should have a commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student body, including first-generation college students. Qualifications
for Assistant Clinical Professor. Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field. A minimum of 1 year of collegiate teaching experience OR 5 years of training experience. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Occupational Safety and Health, demonstrating hands-on expertise in applying occupational safety and health principles in real-world, non-academic environments. This experience should highlight effective risk management, compliance with safety regulations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in high-risk industries. BCSP CSP or CIH Designation or the ability to receive such a designation upon 1 year of hire. Ability to provide evidence of Service work that aligns with SOHAS Department Guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Hold board-certified designations or maintain professional engineer licensure. Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in the construction industry.
