Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Healthcare Construction Project Manager to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN. Engages with system and hospital leadership. Responsible for providing leadership and coordination related to both construction and owner related activities. Participate in long range planning and project development meetings. Oversee construction and represent organization in project meetings. Assist in the planning and development of projects to ensure continuity with construction. Coordinate and participate in the selection process of construction companies. Participate in bid acceptance, pre-construction and pre-award conferences to monitor aspects of the construction contract agreement. Monitor/Control construction to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget. Perform regular site observations of construction activities. Coordinate construction efforts and shutdowns with multiple departments Adhere to corporate policies and procedures. Participate in developing charters and lead Project Control Groups. Develop monthly project status reports and financial statements while completing in a timely manner. Manage design professionals and other outside consultants
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture 10 years’ experience in healthcare construction industry 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager or similar role.
Experience
with internal hospital renovations, expansions, and new construction.
Experience
with medical/healthcare projects ranging from $500,000 to $50 Million. Must have direct working experience and knowledge in reading, comprehending, and interpreting technical documents and information including architectural plans and specifications. Must have direct working experience and knowledge of building codes, building design, construction planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and contracting practices and law. Must have knowledge of the building construction trades (architectural, civil, structural, and MEP), and buildings; tools, materials, equipment and a strong understand of building methods. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at various stages simultaneously within specified time constraints. Manage to set budgets, contracts, and purchase orders. Understand ICRA guidelines and Interim Life Safety measures. Strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products. Periodic travel to various facilities throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana will be required.
