This position reports to: Engineering Manager __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in challenging industrial electrification and automation projects. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries division in Zagreb, Croatia. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing different engineering tasks in electrification and automation projects with main focus to electrical machinery and power electronics (e.g. specifications and electrical schematics related to electric motors, transformers, drives) in metals industry. Working closely with the customer to shape and deliver solutions that fit to project requirements. Initiating improvements based on customer's feedback. Creating work plans and cost estimates in coordination with project managers, for specific projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the budget. Commissioning of electric motors and drives systems (LV AC and DC drives). Coordinating with relevant functions (e.g. project manager, quality manager...) to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned. Taking project ownership, being proactive, finding solutions and ensuring project progress. Coaching engineering colleagues on engineering solutions, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects. You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing, multidisciplinary team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications

for the role You are highly skilled in electrical engineering, electric machinery, AC and / or DC drives and you have ability to demonstrate your experience (at least 5 years) in engineering and commissioning. Degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronic, robotic or similar area. You are familiar with electrical design (using standard design tools as eplan, autocad…), power distribution, network types and grounding systems, automation systems concept (PLC, HMI…). You are passionate about electrical machines, power electronics, innovation, new technologies, improvements. Fluent in English language, good written and spoken communication skills You hold valid driving license category B.

Experience

in metals industry (rolling mills, processing lines, casting lines) is a plus. What's in it for you?
