Location: Bangna, Bangkok Workplace type: Hybrid The Finance Controller, Thailand is responsible for maintaining oversight on accounting and tax to ensure that financial books and records are accurately stated in compliance with U.S. GAAP and Thai GAAP, all statutory requirements including tax matters are met in compliance with U.S. and local tax requirements, internal controls are maintained effectively in accordance with Ingredion policies, and all internal and external stakeholders are timely informed of the company’s operational and financial matters, including liaising with external auditors and local tax authorities. What you will do: Financial and Tax Compliance · Financial Reporting and Monthly Closing – Lead the closing process and ensure that financial statements are prepared and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies as well as Thai GAAP and statutory requirements. · Tax Compliance – Ensure that all tax return filings are completed accurately and timely in accordance with Thai tax laws and be prepared and lead actions to address potential inquiries, challenges, and scrutiny from Thai tax authorities. · External & Internal Audits – Manage and coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring readiness and successful outcomes. Internal Controls and Process Optimization · Internal Control – Ensure that proper internal controls are in place and monitor that control activities are operated effectively in accordance with the company’s internal control manuals and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements. · Process Improvement – Lead continuous process improvement initiatives, driving standardization, automation, and efficiency across finance operations. Risk Management · Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks, developing and executing effective risk management strategies. · Conduct regular reviews of internal controls and risk exposures, preparing comprehensive risk assessments and actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Team Leadership and Business Partnership · Team Development – Inspire, develop, and empower a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. · Partnership with Corporate and Regional Offices – Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and regional offices, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on operational and financial matters. What you will bring: Mandatory requirements: · Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Business Administration with CPD license · Minimum 5-year experience of Controller in a multi-national company and manufacturing environment · Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. · Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Desirable requirements: · Experience with SAP, SAP BW, BPC, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI or Tableau. · Finance certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA designation a plus.
