Responsibilities
Assemble prototype HVAC units from BOMs, SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, schematics, and Engineering direction. Assembly includes sheet metal construction, copper brazing, insulation, and electrical circuit wiring Install instrumentation on test units per standard lab methods Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments Identify and report nonconformities to engineering and design stakeholders Provide thoughtful solutions to difficult mechanical/ electrical problems and product improvement to engineering stakeholders Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements Create records of prototype build activities and document them according to laboratory procedures Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis Implement corrective and preventative actions Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities Provide direction, assistance and training to other technicians (senior roles only) Your

Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience
Experience
related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred) Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, or R410a card (preferred) Mentorship experience (preferred) Your

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
