Automation & Technology Oversight Manage Pyxis user access requests and maintain accurate documentation. Coordinate Pyxis formulary additions with pharmacy purchasing teams. Lead monthly Pyxis data collection, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for Pyxis automation support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Oversee pharmacy packaging equipment operations, vendor communication, and repair coordination. Controlled Substance Management Monitor daily controlled substance discrepancy reports. Investigate and assist with resolving discrepancies within established timelines. Support compliance with regulatory and organizational controlled substance policies. Medication Management & Compliance Ensure completion of medication storage area inspections and follow up on deficiencies. Monitor medication kits, crash carts, and emergency boxes to ensure proper stocking and expiration date compliance. Generate and review compliance reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Refrigerator & Environmental Monitoring Oversee refrigerator monitoring systems and sensor validation. Review alerts, alarms, and escalated concerns, ensuring timely resolution. Analyze monthly monitoring data and identify opportunities to improve medication storage compliance. Project & System Implementation Support Participate in pharmacy system rollouts and implementation projects. Coordinate assigned tasks, timelines, and operational readiness activities. Partner with pharmacy leadership to support department-wide initiatives and workflow improvements. Staffing & Team Support Provide first-shift technician coverage during staffing shortages. Assist with scheduling and operational coverage needs to maintain continuity of care. Training & Staff Development Serve as the primary trainer and mentor for newly hired pharmacy technicians. Lead onboarding activities using technician orientation and competency checklists. Meet regularly with new team members to assess progress and provide coaching.
