As we continue to grow, we're looking for an inspiring Customs Team Leader to lead our Nordics Customs Team, managing a team of customs specialists responsible for delivering exceptional customs services across the Nordic region. As Customs Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a high-performing team, ensuring outstanding service delivery, maintaining compliance standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You'll work closely with stakeholders across multiple countries, drive operational performance, support transformation initiatives, and ensure your team is equipped to deliver world-class customs solutions every day. What You'll Be Doing Lead & Inspire Coach, motivate, and develop a team of customs professionals Create an engaged, positive, and high-performing team culture Conduct regular performance reviews, development conversations, and succession planning Support onboarding, training, and ongoing capability development Drive Operational Excellence Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant customs processing Monitor team performance against service levels, quality standards, and KPIs Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes Lead problem-solving activities and escalate risks where required Build Strong Partnerships Partner closely with Nordic market stakeholders and operational teams Collaborate with customs experts, managers, and leadership teams across Maersk Act as a trusted point of contact for escalations and process improvements Foster strong relationships that support business growth and customer satisfaction Support Change & Transformation Champion continuous improvement initiatives Drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and automation solutions Support organizational changes and business transformation projects Help shape future ways of working within Customs Services What We're Looking For We are searching for an enthusiastic and capable leader who combines operational expertise with a passion for developing people. You'll Bring: ✔ Proven experience leading teams within Customs, Trade Compliance, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or a related operational environment ✔ Strong understanding of customs processes and regulatory requirements ✔
Experience
managing performance through KPIs, productivity, quality, and service metrics ✔ A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies ✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ✔ Confidence working in a fast-paced, multinational environment ✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills ✔ Fluency in English ✔
