Overview of the Role Alvotech is seeking an EHS Specialist to support our manufacturing operations in Reykjavik, Iceland. Responsibilities
Support the management of EHS programs, training activities, and the facilitation of EHS risk assessments. Provide guidance to Alvotech employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors on EHS standards, expectations, and company guidelines within manufacturing areas. Advise teams on EHS requirements and best practices in manufacturing environments. Lead and participate in internal audits, inspections, and compliance activities. Experience
Required for the Role University degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Degree-level education, preferably in a scientific, technical, or engineering field. At least 1 year of experience in a Health & Safety role within a regulated industry. Understanding of biotechnology manufacturing processes, including relevant methods, techniques, and equipment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proactive mindset with sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates without direct EHS experience are encouraged to apply if they possess a relevant educational background, laboratory safety experience, and a strong interest in building a career within EHS.
