Innovation Park Bldg 8000 Pay Grade: Professional Hourly Job Description: The Louisiana Small Business Development Center Network (LSBDC) is the largest technical assistance provider to small businesses in Louisiana. The position will assist with the financial oversight of the LSBDC network and perform the day-to-day accounting transactions required of all LSBDC Network contracts and grants.

Job Responsibilities
Financial Administration - This position will assist with the financial oversight of the LSBDC Network and perform the day-to-day accounting transactions required for all the LSBDC contracts and grants.
Duties
include but are not limited to budget preparation, budget review, processing monthly invoices from subcontractors, reconciling financial reports to funding agencies, maintaining supporting documentation, and assisting with audits and financial reviews. Assist with preparing the LSBDC Network’s budget and program narrative in response to the annual SBA SBDC NOFO. Assist with the coordination of the annual sub-award agreements with sub-recipients. Monitors the LSBDC Network and sub-awards budget vs. actual and remaining balance activities. Assist with preparing the LSBDC Network’s quarterly financial and programmatic narrative reports. Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of the LSBDC Network financial and programmatic policies and procedures. Will coordinate with LSU Office of Sponsored Programs, Sponsored Program Accounting, and Procurement Services as required. (45%) Workday / Accounting Transactions - Maintains knowledge of the LSU Workday system, GeauxGrants, and other systems related to the financial activities of the LSBDC Network’s contracts and grants. Familiar with and follow all LSU financial policies and procedures. Reviews fiscal documents, balances and reconciles subsidiary accounting records, and collects data for budget projections and/or requests for release of funds. Assembles, verifies, and corrects data as needed. Prepares non-routine fiscal reports. Processes journal entries and online budget transfers and journal vouchers as necessary. Assist with P-card purchases and approvals, P-card reconciliation, purchase requisitions, and direct pay requests. Assists with travel requests from LSBDC Lead Center staff to ensure travel costs are within the budget and all prior approvals have been obtained from SBA. Compiles financial, accounting, or auditing reports on matters such as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. (45%) Miscellaneous
Duties
- Assists with other LSBDC Network projects as required. Attends national, regional, and state meetings and trainings as required. Develop and provide specific information, reports, and/or special services as requested or required by the SBA/SBDC Administrators, the SBA Business Development Specialist, and the LSBDC State Director. Support area, state, and federal research projects concerning small businesses and disseminate results to the community. Other duties as assigned. (10%) Minimum
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in accounting or MBA. 1-5 years of accounting, finance, or business. Understanding of University policies and procedures. Knowledge of LSU Workday System. Physical Demands: Physical ability and eye-hand coordination necessary to use a computer terminal, copier, telephone, and other standard office equipment; ability to sit in the same position for extended periods (5.5+ hours a day) at a time using continuous hand motions when entering data into the computer system.
