Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, education, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Several years of related work experience in a higher education setting. Demonstrates knowledge of best practices, trends, and technology in graduate admissions education. Demonstrates strong computer and communication skills. Must be a strong self-starter and demonstrate strong collaboration skills and competencies. Analytical skills to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data to make sound decisions accordingly. Demonstrated ability to advocate for policy and process improvements, additions, and changes.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues and stakeholders in a professional, mature, and tactful manner.

Experience

in Registrar’s and/or Financial Aid Office operational function and advising. High attention to detail.

Experience

working with programs targeted for online students. Conditions of Employment: Weekend and/or evening work required, as needed, including onsite management two to four weekends a year. Some overnight domestic travel may be required.

Duties

30% - Student Success: Responsible for communications with online partner Student Success Coordinators regarding any student success matters. Responsible for communicating and advising students regarding any sensitive student success matters. Responsible for management and support of the online tutor system (requests, student vetting, training, etcetera). Responsible for Student Retention and Escalation Protocol. Responsible for student enrollment matters, such as but not all-inclusive semester registrations – work with the Graduate Registrar to ensure correct courses are being offered for the semester based on the program wheels; and ensure course caps and coding are accurate so as not to delay student registration. Work collaboratively with Graduate Registrar to process all registration forms (Program Reactivation / Withdrawals, Course Add/Drop, Online Course Takers forms, Transfer Credit Requests). 30% - Student Engagement: Serve as the lead member of the Online team for all online student-related activities. Responsible for communication plan delivery to students and attendance at all online events (residency weekend, Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony, commencement weekend activities, online alumni student weekend, international study tours, online open house, and other student events). Responsible for sending student communications concerning all-graduate Mason School of Business events, school closings, holidays, and observances Initiate program improvements to increase student engagement and satisfaction. Resolve conflicts. Serve as an advocate for online business students to ensure applicable services are available and accessible. Provide insights on the development, planning, and delivery of the on-campus residency experience. 20% - Strategic Assessment: Perform benchmarking analysis of trends, retention rates, graduation rates, and time to completion of the online programs. Assess student satisfaction and assist in the development of a continuous improvement plan for the student experience. Develop a tracking system for student feedback and manage follow-up. Research and make recommendations for quality student success resources and support services. 20% - Budget and Financial Management and other duties as assigned: Develop and manage processes for invoices, reimbursements, and purchase cards. Develop fiscal year budget in conjunction with Director and monitor all budget activity.
