This Position reports to: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager As a Senior Business Financial Analyst, you will provide financial analysis expertise to the ABB Electrification Canada Inc. in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. You will join the FP&A team in performing analysis, financial support and be part of system change reporting stabilization. This position is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The work model is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week at the office.
Responsibilities
Working with other finance professionals at the division head office to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance, while identifying trends relevant to the business. Supporting the preparation of relevant budgeting and forecasting documents and presentations by providing summary data, reports, findings, analyses, and recommendations. Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication and coordinating information requirements. Prepare various business analysis and reports on an Ad-Hoc, Monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Support controller in providing ad hoc financial information upon request. Provide support to various functions in the business related to financial results and KPIs. Consolidation analysis where required. Provide support for accounting and reporting team during month end /forecast and budgeting process, when application. Involvement in business process improvement on defined/identify action plan. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business with CPA certification. 5 years at least with advanced professional experience in a Financial Analyst role. Bilingual French – English (writing and oral communication skills). English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility with sound decision making.
Experience
with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including MS Office with advanced Excel knowledge, SAP/TM1 (mgt reporting tool) or equivalent ERPs. Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask. Strong financial, accounting analytical skills and good judgement. Good sense of initiative with pro-active skills. High ability to adapt to change and ad-hoc request with ability to work in a multi-task & changing environment with strength in working with tight schedule.
