About the Team Workday’s Global Legal Services team supports the Company’s Go To Market Legal team in a wide variety of transactional and in-depth work. This worldwide team is comprised of contract management professionals who handle diverse categories of work across Workday’s customer base and net new accounts. The team is asked to manage a large volume of requests and in collaboration with several cross functional teams. About the Role Workday’s Global Legal Services team is looking for a high-performing Contracts Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with outstanding negotiation skills, attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude. Key

Responsibilities

Negotiate, redline and review contractual documents including MSA, DPE and other agreements. Draft and revise contract wording to address various situations as they arise Manage workflow, document generation and review processes for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution Assist with maintenance of contracts management system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract practices and policies Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review cycles, acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, copies, questions, etc. Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third parties to negotiate terms, and obtain approvals for modifications as required. Maintain processes between the legal department and other groups and collaborate on ways to continually improve the contracts administration process Provide support to in-house legal staff, including research, correspondence and record-keeping Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and department About You Basic

Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environment Bachelor’s Degree or above Other

Qualifications

Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience

with a contract management system, e.g. Apttus or others

Experience

with electronic signature software, e.g. EchoSign, Docusign Strong collaborative spirit, including outstanding influence and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented environment Language skills (French, Spanish or German) would be a plus, but not required. Workday pay ranges (and the precise pay offered to the successful candidate) are based on a number of objective criteria such as relevant experience and skills, and educational qualifications, level of responsibility, demands of the role, work location and business need. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants awarded by Workday Inc.
