The Simulation Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based learning experiences for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students. This role supports the integration of simulation throughout the nursing curriculum to enhance clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and professional practice competencies. The Simulation Coordinator collaborates with faculty, students, standardized patients, and simulation staff to ensure high-quality, evidence-based simulation experiences that support program outcomes, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. The position will be a two-year term with renewal based on performance and department needs. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position. Required Minimum
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in nursing or related field and 3 years of clinical experience 2 years simulation experience Current unencumbered RN license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
in nursing education, simulation-based learning, or clinical education. Knowledge of healthcare simulation standards and best practices. Certification in healthcare simulation (CHSE or CHSE-A) preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience
with high-fidelity simulation equipment, audiovisual technologies, and simulation management software. Knowledge of nursing IBON and accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, students, healthcare partners, and interdisciplinary teams.
Experience
with concept-based curriculum design, competency-based nursing education, and the integration of learning experiences that support the development and assessment of clinical judgment.
Experience
with learning management systems and educational technologies.
