Summary Job Description: EVS Tech II, Housekeeper Full-Time, 3rd Shift Environmental Services The Environmental Services Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospital remains clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. As a member of this team, the main duties will be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms. Environmental Services (EVS) Technician II is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. This role performs cleaning, disinfection, patient room turnover, floor care, waste disposal, and specialty cleaning projects while following infection prevention and safety standards. EVS Technician II works closely with patients, visitors, and staff to support a positive healthcare experience. Job Description: Clean and disinfect specialty patient care areas and equipment, including Surgical Services, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, PACU, IR, Cath Lab, and other assigned clinical areas. Follow infection prevention, safety, OSHA, DOT, and PPE guidelines to maintain a safe healthcare environment. Perform occupied, discharge, and specialty cleaning using approved techniques, chemicals, and equipment. Operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment and cleaning tools according to manufacturer and department standards. Properly handle and dispose of regulated medical, hazardous, and general waste. Report maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns promptly. Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and department meetings to support patient safety and exceptional care. Performs specialty tasks per facility needs, including, but not limited to, conference room set up/dismantle according to function sheets and schedules, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, and hanging of cubicle curtains. Requirements No prior experience is required; however, related experience is preferred. Preferred Experiences: 1-2 years of Customer Service 1-2 years of Environmental Services, 1-2 years of Sterile Field Training and/or 2+ years of Environmental Services experience.
