As a Design Engineer on the Front-End Innovation team, you will identify real user problems and translate them into breakthrough product concepts that define our future portfolio. You will operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, supporting projects from early discovery through concept development, validation, and handoff. You will define our next generation of tools and solutions by: Building and iterating prototypes, leveraging 3D modeling, simulation, and rapid prototyping tools Generating and refining concepts in ambiguous problem spaces using structured ideation and good engineering judgment Participating in and translating field research into user feedback, observations, and actionable insights Performing engineering analysis to evaluate feasibility, performance, risk, and design tradeoffs Driving collaboration with product marketing, design research, industrial design, NPD/ADV engineering, and project leadership to push the boundaries of innovation Communicating clearly to stakeholders, including design intent, tradeoffs, progress, and recommendations Defining and evaluating critical user benefits, business fit, and technical feasibility What TOOLS You Bring Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field 1-2 years of experience in product development, innovation, or concept engineering, with demonstrated ability to deliver innovative solutions.
Experience
on front end innovation teams preferred. Evolving foundation in engineering fundamentals (mechanics, materials, analysis, tolerancing, statics, dynamics, and manufacturing processes)
Experience
creating and using prototypes, models, or other tools to drive learning and decision-making
Experience
