Working Title: Student Success Coach/MnSCU Academic Professional 1, EGF Campus Institution: Northland Community and Technical College Classification Title: College Laboratory Asst 2 Bargaining Unit / Union: 207: AFSCME - Technical City: East Grand Forks FLSA: Non Job Exempt Full Time / Part Time: Full time Employment Condition: Classified - Unlimited Salary Range: $22.27 - $31.99 Job Description The Student Success Coach exists to assist students on the East Grand Forks campus in successfully transitioning to and navigating college by providing comprehensive onboarding, registration assistance, and holistic support services. Reporting to the Director of Academic and Student Success, the Student Success Coach works in both in-person and virtual environments, delivers workshops, facilitates student success programming, and provides individualized coaching to help students overcome barriers, connect with campus resources, and achieve their academic and personal goals. The position is dedicated to promoting student retention, engagement, and completion for all Northland students, with a particular focus on supporting students from at-risk and underserved populations. Customer Service Work collaboratively through coordinated support efforts to enhance the student experience and increase persistence and retention Provide Services to multiple functional areas across the college in support of college-wide initiatives and operations Educate students in identifying and accessing reputable resources and materials Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner Salary Range: 22.27 - 31.99 USD Hourly Minimum

Qualifications

Two-years of related work experience in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Human Resources or related field Proficiency with a variety of word processing, database and web-based applications sufficient to accurately collect data and create reports The ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to make decisions independently regarding workload, problems or situations Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of student development. Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral) in order to communicate effectively with students, employees without supervision or review Willing to work as part of a team Preferred Qualification 2-year degree or Baccalaureate Degree in a related field, i.e. Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Human Resources

Experience

in higher education Knowledge of data privacy practices and FERPA Evidence of commitment to the success of culturally, ethnically, and racially diverse populations of students, staff, and faculty. Knowledge of public, private, and community social services and resource agencies sufficient to provide referrals to students Other
