Education
RA I: High School diploma or equivalent, required. RA II: Associate degree in a Mental Health, Human Services or closely related Field required
Experience
One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. (Student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted)
Experience

How you will make a difference: The Rehabilitation Aide has the primary responsibility for planning and leading both large and small group activities for adolescents, encouraging positive behavior and providing guidance and feedback. Assists adolescents with developing self-help skills related to eating, personal hygiene, grooming, social interactions, and participation in daily activities. Serves as a positive role model by demonstrating appropriate behaviors and responses to various situations. Maintains accurate documentation of adolescents' daily activities and behaviors and actively participates in shift rounds, shift-change meetings, and treatment team meetings to support effective care and communication. Division/Program Overview: Population Served (Capacity): Serving youth, ages 12-17 dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms. Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient Involuntary program, 16-bed facility Clinical Services (Core): Admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare Skills & Services: Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans.
