This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results. The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Supporting in the planning and implementation of test plans. Coordinating maintenance activities related to the equipment and tools used in the laboratory. Identifying and suggesting solutions related to product non-conformities. Assisting external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB or external customer products.

Qualifications

for the role B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering, with strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in electrical testing, laboratory operations, internal audits, documentation, and calibration, preferably in a high-voltage testing laboratory. Hands-on experience in testing of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear, including High Voltage, Partial Discharge, Mechanical Endurance, Temperature Rise, Impact & IP, and Short-Circuit Testing. Strong knowledge and practical applicability of relevant IEC standards, including IEC 62271 series, IEC 60060 series, IEC 61439, IEC 60947, and IEC 61869 series.

Experience

in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory management, including internal audits, non-conformity management, CAPA implementation, and development/maintenance of laboratory documentation.

Experience

in test bench rating, finalization, and supplier selection, ensuring test equipment and systems meet specified technical and performance requirements. Hands-on experience in calibration of laboratory equipment, including impulse generators, high-voltage transformers, partial discharge setups, current/voltage sources, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and time measurement units. Internal Auditor certification for ISO/IEC 17025 is preferred/required, with demonstrated understanding of laboratory quality management systems.
