Responsibilities
Must be able to work third (3rd) shift 10:30pm - 7:00am. Maintain, inspect, and repair battery charging equipment and vehicle batteries Disassemble, refurbish, and reassemble battery packs using appropriate tools Conduct discharge tests and diagnostics to identify and resolve battery issues Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines Use electrical test equipment to verify battery functionality Package and prepare battery components for shipping Log work orders, inventory, and battery performance data Recommend process improvements and monitor workflow efficiency Mentor and train technicians; provide technical coaching Handle escalated customer/stakeholder issues Collaborate with Battery Maintenance management on resource planning Ensure safety compliance and model safe work practices Liaise with Vehicle Operations to support battery and service needs Ensure battery work meets quality standards and contributes to overall operational excellence Ensure timely and accurate updates to the Alfred CMMS database with relevant maintenance and production data to support operational efficiency and equipment reliability. Experience
& Specialized Knowledge and skills High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience; or 7 years’ experience in a related field Requires strong knowledge of EV batteries, working with hand and power tools as well as basic computers skills needed to enter information into databases, and check and respond to emails. Ability to read written operating instructions Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent problem solving, teamwork and collaboration skills to work and communicate effectively with teams throughout organization Commitment to safety & quality Preferred
Experience
& Specialized Knowledge & Skills Degree or certification in a related discipline automative or technical
Experience
in the EV Battery industry, preferably in the automotive sector Work Environment & Physical Conditions Work Environment: Subject to Manufacturing or warehouse environment which may or may not be climate controlled.

Individual lifting up to 50 pounds Constant sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, lifting Good hand and finger dexterity; hand and eye coordination Physical ability and mental acuity to execute duties successfully within required timeframes under safety guidelines Standard PPE includes safety glasses, safety vest, hearing protection, and safety footwear, other PPE may be required for specific tasks.
