Work Flexibility: Hybrid What you will do - As Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation, efficiency, and value across our global supply base. This is a high‑impact position with direct visibility to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives across a defined supplier portfolio, driving excellence in service, quality, and cost. You will own a portfolio of primarily sustaining business, while also taking ownership of new products as they transition from development into production, ensuring seamless supplier integration and long-term performance. Project Sourcing Leadership: Lead sourcing workstreams for product transfers, insourcing initiatives, and manufacturing transformation projects, ensuring supplier readiness, risk mitigation, and successful execution against quality, service, cost, and timeline objectives. Supplier Sourcing & Qualification: Identify, assess, select, and onboard suppliers through RFQs, capability assessments, supplier qualification activities, and Approved Supplier List (ASL) management to support project requirements. Commercial Strategy & Negotiation: Drive competitive sourcing outcomes through pricing negotiations, contract execution, cost reduction initiatives, and long-term supplier agreements that deliver sustainable value. Component & Supply Chain Transfer Execution: Lead sourcing activities for component transfers, supplier transitions, and new SKU implementation across multiple commodity categories, ensuring seamless transition into production. Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to manage supplier deliverables, qualification milestones, sample builds, and launch readiness activities. Stakeholder Communication & Risk Management: Proactively identify sourcing risks, develop mitigation plans, and provide clear updates to project teams and senior leadership on supplier performance, project status, and financial impact. Required - 8+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development. Bachelors Degree Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services. Preferred - Experience leading sourcing activities for product transfers, insourcing initiatives, contract manufacturing transitions, or large-scale supply chain projects. Demonstrated success onboarding suppliers and managing complex supplier qualification efforts. Strong commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
