Job Title Mechanical Project Engineer-I Job Description Revit Layout Engineer | Pune | Full-time We are seeking a senior-level Revit Layout Engineer who can take ownership of modelling, clash coordination, and interface management. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, lead small layout teams, and act as the go-to person for Revit and BIM issues. This role also involves mentoring others, improving modelling workflows, and actively resolving complex coordination issues. Conveyor system knowledge is a plus but not a must. What you will do System & Layout Design Lead Revit layout efforts during engineering and pre-sales phase. Translate functional requirements into efficient mechanical designs. Optimize layouts for safety, maintenance, and access. Coordinate interfaces with buildings, operators, equipment, and procurement. Contribute to layout standards and process improvements. 3D Modeling, 2D Drafting & Documentation Create and manage 3D conveyor models in Revit based on design inputs and extract 2D drawings. Review Revit and BIM deliverables and Maintain Documentation. Incorporate functional attributes and prepare equipment specifications. Ensure drawing and documentation quality across the team. Sound knowledge on BIM 360 Documentation Project Execution & Coordination Lead layout engineering teams and liaise with clients and suppliers. Support site activities including installation files, test plans, and as-built documentation. Planning & Budgeting Estimate timelines, resources, and budgets for mechanical scope. Define mechanical work packages and manage delivery tracking. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing Act as Revit lead for the team; resolve advanced issues. Mentor new engineers and share project learnings. Suggest improvements in modeling workflows and template content. Create Training materials, transfer knowledge between teams and across projects. Should take ownership in work. What you bring Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Revit modeling and parametric families Experienced in Navisworks clash detection and resolution Familiarity with MS Office Strong understanding of mechanical systems, layouts, and site coordination Good knowledge of Revit templates, view control, and documentation standards Understanding of engineering processes Ability to guide standardization of modeling practices Sound knowledge on BIM 360 Workflow System Integration Coordination across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines Interface understanding (building, operator, procurement) Project Execution Work breakdown and prioritization Takes initiative in model delivery and helps in project planning Change/risk management and site readiness Works directly with customers and other disciplines when needed Communication & Collaboration Strong cross-functional teamwork Fluent in English communication Client/supplier coordination in BIM Able to guide junior engineers and clearly explain modeling logic Quality & Safety Design for safety, ergonomics, and standards compliance Maintains high design quality and documentation consistency Continuous Improvement Leads knowledge transfer and supports training for new tools or practices Analytical thinking and problem-solving Process/tooling optimization Soft Skills
