Congress & Events Manager This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering impactful experiences that connect, engage, and inspire both internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will lead the Congress & Events function, driving the strategic planning, governance, and flawless execution of a diverse portfolio of events across the affiliate. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, agencies, and external partners while leading and developing a high-performing team that ensures operational excellence and outstanding event experiences. Responsibilities
Lead the planning, governance, and execution of congresses, events, meetings, and other internal and external initiatives for Amgen Brazil. Ensure event activities are aligned with affiliate priorities, business objectives, and Amgen’s global and local standards. Lead, develop, and engage the Congress & Events team, setting clear priorities, responsibilities, and performance expectations. Serve as the primary point of contact for congress and event-related activities across the affiliate. Partner with Marketing, Medical, Sales, Value, Access & Policy, Compliance, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, and other functions to ensure successful event delivery. Manage relationships with event agencies and external vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, service excellence, and timely execution. Oversee the review of proposals, scopes of work, contracts, and commercial terms in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Ensure a high-quality experience for internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals, speakers, and other participants. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and Compliance requirements. Own budget planning, forecasting, monitoring, and control, identifying risks, savings, and optimization opportunities. Ensure accurate financial reconciliation, documentation, and closeout of events. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, timelines, vendor performance, and stakeholder satisfaction. Drive process improvements, standardization, simplification, automation, and adoption of best practices within the Congress & Events function. Foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement. Basic
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field. +5 years of experience in congress, events, meetings, or project management within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology, or related industries.
Experience
organizing and managing medium- and large-scale events Previous experience leading and developing teams;
Experience
managing external agencies, vendors, and complex stakeholder environments.
Experience
in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management; Professional proficiency in English Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

Knowledge of regulations related to interactions with healthcare Postgraduate degree or MBA
