Work Flexibility: Hybrid Position Summary As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) on our Sports Medicine team, you will play a key role in designing advanced features and shaping the technical direction of our software platform for digital hip preservation solutions. You will work closely with a cross-functional project team and collaborate with technology leaders across related platforms. In this role, you will design and implement new capabilities while maintaining, enhancing, and evolving our existing platform to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. Your key responsibilities: Software System Development: Design and develop software solutions (C++ Windows desktop applications) in accordance with project requirements, established architecture, and quality standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement design, technical, and process improvements. Maintain and enhance the existing software platform. Development process: Complement technical work with thorough documentation and take ownership of relevant documents and processes to support effective project execution and team success. Technical Contribution: Drive and support product development across cross-functional teams, provide technical direction, and drive architectural decisions. Take technical ownership while fostering accountability for the delivery of high-quality solutions. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within international and cross-functional teams and partner with technical leaders across adjacent products and projects. What are we looking for? You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. Ideally, you bring 3-5 years of professional experience in C++ software development, including experience with Qt, preferably within a regulated industry. You have hands-on experience with modern development tools and practices, including Visual Studio, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking systems. You are experienced across the full software development life cycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, and verification & validation (V&V). You are a proactive, self-driven, and reliable team player who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is considered a plus. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility.
