Role Specific Information Job Description About the Role As Associate Materials Manager, you will execute global materials sourcing strategies for Kohl’s Private and Exclusive brands to deliver optimal supply chain value, including quality, cost, speed and on-time delivery with technical proficiency. What You’ll Do Execute long-term materials sourcing strategies aligned with Kohl’s apparel strategy, seizing opportunities and mitigating risks Drive Kohl’s global materials strategy for optimal product value Collaborate cross-functionally to align product value with sourcing strategies and financial goals Implement global strategic materials plans with internal and external partners, meeting seasonal cost targets Apply expertise in material manufacturing, sourcing and global economics to optimize quality, cost and speed Manage Service Level Terms (SLT) consumption to reduce inventory risk and elevate inventory management Execute a 3-year mill strategy to control costs, improve quality and shorten lead times Achieve cost containment through strategic mill management, counter development, price benchmarking and SLT placement Maintain a deep understanding of mill capabilities, optimizing Country of Production (COP) strategy, quality, costing and delivery Integrate sustainability, diversity and inclusion into team management and strategies Ensure materials meet Kohl’s testing and compliance standards for core products Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for effective materials strategy and decision-making Share technical knowledge and coaches teams across Kohl’s Additional tasks may be assigned What Skills You Have Required 5+ years of textile, retail, production, sourcing, supply chain management or related experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite Expertise in manufacturing and supply chain Technically proficient in textile manufacturing with a global perspective Global Business knowledge and Cross-Cultural agility Ability to travel domestically and internationally Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering or related field Previous experience in textile manufacturing Ability to successfully operate in an international environment This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
