Minimum Hiring Wage: From $32.53 per hour Job Details: $15,000 Sign on Bonus for Eligible Candidate! Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Job Description: The Clinical Dietitian will assess patients for nutritional risk working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy compatible with patient goals and objectives. Plans therapeutic diets as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with regulatory agencies. Participates and counsels in inpatient and outpatient settings and community health programs as well as educates staff, review and update menus and nutrition education materials, and maintain quality assurance standards. The dietitian will conduct nutrition education programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. What you will do Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling, utilizing Registered Dietitian order writing privileges as needed to change/modify diet orders. Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client. Develop curriculum and prepare manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching. Participate in training and orientation of new staff; provides ongoing education. Evaluate work performance of intern to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards for assessments, reassessments, charting, and other duties. Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams as needed for a more thorough nutritional assessment. Collaborates with the Nutrition Services department to ensure both safety and nutritional adequacy in patient food services.

Qualifications

Dietitian Iowa Dept of Public Health (IDPH) (United States of America) Required Dietitian Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDM) (United States of America) Required Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) from an accredited dietetics program Required or Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) from an accredited dietetics program (required for new graduates) Preferred Dietetic Internship Required or Coordinated Undergraduate Program 1-3 years of related experience Preferred
