Job description

[What the role is] Working in the Finance Department, you will be responsible for the following: [What you will be working on] Perform finance and accounting functions, including but not restricted to accounting for daily revenue collection, accounts payable, month-end closing, fixed assets, fees and charges costing, bank reconciliations and preparation of management reports Functional lead for Fixed Assets related matters Responsible for preparing the asset listings and coordinating asset sighting exercises Liaise with departments and agencies on returns and submissions Prepare audit schedules for statutory and other audits Provide advice and support on financial matters Attend to requests or enquiries from external and internal customers Manage and review user access, roles, and permission within finance systems to ensure proper access controls are maintained Plays an active role in the implementation and upgrading of fixed asset management systems and related system projects [What we are looking for] This role might be for you if you possess the following qualities: A Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience Positive and highly motivated, flexible, and resourceful Meticulous and able to exercise sound judgement Able to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A good team player and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Able to leverage technology and automation tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment. http://jobs.careers.gov.sg The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
