About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Coach position supports the varsity athletics program at Northeastern University, reporting to the Head Coach. This role is responsible for assisting with practice and game-day decisions, player skill development, and administrative duties as assigned. The Assistant Coach plays a key role in identifying, evaluating, and cultivating prospective student-athletes from across the country while upholding all Conference and NCAA regulations. This position requires availability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Assist the Head Coach with practice and game-day decisions, developing training drills for player skill development and leading positional portions of practice Scout opponents and provide analysis to support competitive preparation Identify, evaluate, and cultivate prospective student-athletes from throughout the country in accordance with Conference and NCAA regulations Attend departmental meetings, programs, and clinics Assist with fund-raising efforts as needed Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 2–3 years of coaching experience required, preferably at a Division I program Collegiate playing experience preferred Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and understanding of Conference and NCAA regulations Previous experience with budgeting procedures and strong communication and management skills required Must be available to travel and work evenings and weekends as required Position Type Athletics Additional Information Northeastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education and skills when extending an offer. Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 110S Expected Hiring Range: $76,335.00 - $107,823.75 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
