As an RN Clinical Educator, you'll design and deliver training programs, support clinical competency, onboard new caregivers, and promote evidence-based practices that enhance quality, safety, and patient outcomes. Join a collaborative team dedicated to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Scheduling & Logistics: The position is fully onsite. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to accommodate the educational needs of all staffed shifts. Typical working hours are 07:00 to 15:30. There is no on-call requirement. Skills & Matching Criteria: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master’s degree is preferred. Educator experience is considered an advantage, including formal experience, clinical coaching, “boots on the ground” education, education champion roles, or a demonstrated passion for education. Operational experience is considered an advantage, including project management, gap analysis, implementation, return on investment (ROI), and utilization. Minimum of two years of recent experience in a hospital or clinic ambulatory care clinical setting is required. Ability to support multiple clinics across the Saint Louis region with onboarding and clinical needs.

Experience

in standardizing onboarding curriculum and processes to align with organizational resources and evidence based practices. Ability to support planning, curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and change management of new onboarding programs and processes. Collaborative thinking and a drive for excellence. Proficiency in leveraging technology. Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player, with regional and system-level collaboration required. Stewardship of resources, including contributing ideas and forward thinking. Willingness and ability to travel to all SSM clinics in the Saint Louis region. Maintenance of competency and proficiency with ongoing patient care support on an ad hoc basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies. Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials. Maintains training record of educational activities in the Learning Management System or similar system. Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient’s age-specific needs and clinical needs. As an SSM Health nurse, I will demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model. Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide his/her response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patients and our patient populations. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree EXPERIENCE Three years' registered nurse experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
