Job Summary
It is the responsibility of the Environmental Services Lead to assist in the coordination of work activities, and projects of the Environmental Services Department. The Environmental Services Lead assists the Environmental Services Supervisors and Manager in the completion of scheduled projects as well as assisting the departmental staff in the completion of their assigned tasks. The Environmental Services Lead communicates and works closely with all other departments in the coordination of departmental related activities and requests.
Essential Functions
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. * 1. Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the hospital by working with departmental Manager, Supervisors, and employees to ensure all assigned and scheduled work is completed satisfactorily. The Lead will actively be involved in the completion of this work as appropriate. 2. The Lead communicates any staffing or employee issues to the Environmental Services Manager and Supervisors as warranted and appropriate. 3. Assists in the coordination of departmental operations in support of all other departments in regard to cleaning responsibilities, meeting room setup, as well as other scheduled tasks. 4. Assists in completing cycle cleaning schedule tasks pertaining to floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, and other scheduled tasks as appropriate. 5. Demonstrate an understanding of the special needs of specific age groups including the neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patient. 6. Perform all other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications
