Responsibilities
Under general supervision designs, implements, integrates, and maintains complex systems and subsystems, ensuring configurations and components meet defined functional and performance requirements. Monitors system behavior and operational performance to proactively identify emerging issues, evaluate system trends, and apply adjustments which will improve efficiency, stability, and overall capability to resolve clearly defined problems, as well as seeks assistance in resolving more advanced problems. Conducts structured root‑cause and failure‑mode analyses on system components and implements corrective and preventive measures to strengthen system reliability throughout its lifecycle, reviewing and resolving inconsistencies or missing information that could affect findings. Contributes to cross‑disciplinary teams to establish, refine, and document systems‑engineering processes and procedures, including configuration management, verification, validation, and continuous improvement practices. Leads general system‑level projects and participates in resilience, readiness, and recovery exercises, ensuring that systems meet continuity, safety, and operational requirements. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting application software for embedded environments and internal tools. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Designs, configures, and maintains disk images for the deployment of embedded servers. Communicates with customers, interprets embedded system log files, diagnoses problems, and coordinates with subsystem experts to resolve escalated customer service issues. Education
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in either Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar.
Qualifications
2 – 4 years of work experience A background in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering discipline with a focus on system-level design and troubleshooting Skilled in thermodynamics and heat transfer C++ in embedded applications uC/OS, NetBurner OS, or other real-time embedded operating systems Basic familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Python for scripting, automation, and server applications General knowledge of liquid cooling systems for datacenters Familiarity with Modbus TCP/IP, SNMP, EtherNet/IP, or other industrial automation protocols Feedback control, such as programming and tuning of PID controllers Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Analytical thinking skills Problem-solving skills Technical experience with at least one unmanaged programming language: e.g. C, C++ Familiarity with management of Linux systems or extensive experience with command line interfaces for management of other operating systems General understanding of IP networking / OSI networking model

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
