In addition, this role serves as the Producer for Theater at Plymouth State University (known in the discipline as the director of theater). Responsibilities
Teaching and Advising (85%) Teach theater arts courses in areas of expertise and as needed by the Theater Arts program Teach general education courses Advise Theater Arts and other performing arts students Service (15%) Lead the theater program (in collaboration with the SILA leadership) curricular and staffing needs (recruiting, mentoring, and supporting part time instructors), as well as recruitment and retention initiatives for theater students. Serve as the Director of Theater by taking on the role of Producer for Theater at Plymouth State University in collaboration with the Silver Center for the Arts and the SILA leadership. This role is normally compensated with a course release per semester. Also as part of the producer role, plan, staff, and coordinate the theater production season with all associated responsibilities, including scheduling and timelines, staffing needs and capacity, budget management, etc. Budgets, contracts, compliance and operations, are an important part of the work of this position. Pay Range
$57,000 - $62,000 The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon the candidate’s qualifications.
