Building Position Summary Responsible for the leadership, management, and continued growth of virtual care as a managed clinical service line across Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) and its partner sites. This position provides dedicated practice management for the organization's virtual care portfolio — including telehealth services, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Interpretive Services — spanning platform enablement, service operations, staff supervision, vendor and contract management, regulatory compliance, and financial and outcomes reporting. This role requires a clinically licensed professional with demonstrated leadership experience who can partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to mature virtual care services, quantify and communicate their value, and expand adoption across the enterprise and with regional partners. Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Technology, or other relevant medical or health-related discipline required. Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred. Licenses and Certification Current, unencumbered clinical license in the State of Illinois required (e.g., Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, or other relevant licensed clinical professional). Relevant virtual care, care management, or leadership certifications preferred.

Experience

and Skills Digital Health, Telehealth, Clinical Practice Management, Hospital Operations Management, IT Management, and/or Population Health experience: 3 years Supervisory or team leadership experience: 5 years Healthcare experience required Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) experience preferred Role Specific

Responsibilities

Partner with the System Director of Digital Health to analyze, design, and implement virtual care services across SIH hospitals, clinics, emergency departments, and partner sites, advancing virtual care from a technology portfolio into a managed clinical service line. Drive growth of the virtual care program by identifying, cultivating, and onboarding new regional partners and expanding service adoption across the enterprise. Evaluate emerging virtual care modalities and technologies against organizational priorities, unmet clinical needs, and market trends to inform the department's service roadmap. Develop and maintain the business case, return-on-investment analysis, and full profit-and-loss reporting for each virtual care service line, delivering clear value narratives to executive and operational leadership. Ensure clinical documentation for Remote Patient Monitoring supports accurate billing, charge capture, and reimbursement, and maintain current knowledge of virtual care billing, coding, and reimbursement requirements (including applicable CMS and payer regulations), partnering with coding, revenue cycle, and compliance teams to optimize compliant revenue capture. Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for Virtual Care and Interpreter staff, and oversee training, onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing retraining for staff and end users to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards of practice for virtual care services in alignment with organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements. Monitor and report program performance — utilization trends, financial performance, clinical outcomes, and service quality — using dashboards and analytics to inform continuous improvement and resolve operational gaps. Manage the intake, triage, and operationalization of incoming telehealth service requests, guiding each from initial request through to sustained operation. Serve as the enabling service owner for SIH's virtual care portfolio — including E-Visits, On-Demand Video Visits, Scheduled Ambulatory Video Visits, Hospital and Emergency Department Video Visits, Acute Care Telehealth, and the Tele-Stroke Program — providing the platforms, implementation, technical maintenance, and performance reporting that allow clinical service-line owners to deliver care. Directly operate the virtual care services housed within Digital Health, including Remote Patient Monitoring, ensuring day-to-day service delivery, staffing, and clinical coordination. Coordinate with clinical, operational, and IT leaders across the enterprise to align virtual care services with broader organizational goals and workflows. Ensure virtual care operations maintain patient confidentiality, data security, and compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Provide clinical coverage for Remote Patient Monitoring and telehealth services as needed, maintaining direct familiarity with front-line workflows and patient care. Oversee the Interpretive Services and Translation Services functions across the SIH enterprise, including supervision of staffed interpreters, vendor relationships, service-level agreements, and contract oversight.
