The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth by developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and executing commercial strategies across the Molecular Diagnostics portfolio. The role requires strong consultative selling skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage key accounts while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Key
Responsibilities
•Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory. •Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships. •Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, KOLs, laboratory managers, clinicians, procurement teams, and hospital management. •Lead commercial discussions and manage complex sales cycles, including tenders, quotations, negotiations, and contract execution. •Drive adoption of QIAGEN’s Molecular Diagnostics solutions by understanding customer workflows and proposing value-based solutions. •Deliver accurate sales forecasting, opportunity pipeline management, and business reviews through CRM and regular reporting. •Monitor market trends, competitive activities, customer needs, and healthcare policies to identify growth opportunities and commercial risks. •Collaborate with Marketing, Field Service, Technical Support, Clinical Affairs, Customer Care, and regional teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction. •Participate in product launches, scientific meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and other commercial initiatives. •Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. •Share market intelligence and commercial best practices with the sales team and support mentoring of junior colleagues where appropriate.
Qualifications

Experience
•Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is an advantage. •3–5 years of sales experience in Molecular Diagnostics, Life Sciences, or In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD). •Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and developing strategic customer relationships. •
Experience
managing government, hospitals, or reference laboratory accounts is highly desirable. •
Experience
in tender management and distributor collaboration is an added advantage. •Good understanding of the Malaysia healthcare and IVD market landscape.
