Position Summary •Responsible for preparing and scanning documents into the electronic document management system, viewing scanned documents for image quality and accuracy; reviewing, identifying and monitoring documentation requirements for electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

•Assemble records in the hospital defined order. •Determines the readiness of the documents for quality control process. •Maintains scanning equipment to assure quality of scanned documents. •Performs functions according to quality and timeliness guidelines. •Retrieves / Receives patient’s documents. •Reviews and corrects batch images •Uploads corrected batch. •Validates index values. •Collaborates with Patient Identity Specialist regarding physician delinquency status. •Monitors and corrects chart deficiencies, rejected deficiencies and chart completion regarding medical Staff Rules and Regulations. •Serves as a liaison with physician and clinicians regarding use of electronic medical record system. •Maintains acceptable chart completion turn-around-time within the revenue cycle. •Updates clinician events.
