Job Details: Starting Pay $21.50/hr plus $2.00 shift premium M-F 2:00pm -12:00 am with occasional Saturdays Yard Driver DB01 This position is responsible for backing in and removing trailers from the Dock. The Yard Driver backs in trailers for loading/ unloading as required. Trailers are also backed into Americold for loading. This position is responsible for operating yard trucks and moving trailer in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must operate yard truck in a safe manner at all times by following all safety procedures; Move correct trailer from yard to door and door to yard. Communicate with drivers in a respect manner; Set reefer units at appropriate settings; Check to see if reefer units will start; Communicate with operations and follow instructions; Safely secure trailers; Report any fuel or oil leaks to maintenance; Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the shuttle truck; Will do pre-inspection for safety and mechanical defects on shuttle truck at beginning of shift; Lot checks as requested by management; refuel reefers and/ or yard trucks as needed; Other

Must be willing to tolerate extreme cold and extreme heat (9-12 hours per day) Must be willing to bend at waist and knees on a repetitive basis (9-12 hours per day) Must be willing to twist and turn (9-12 hours per day) Must be willing to climb in and out of truck cab on a continual basis (9-12 hours per day) Must be willing to walk a great deal (9-12 hours per day) Must have a clean safety record obtained through MVR clearance. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. • Must be at least 18 years of age, with a valid state driver's license, and no DUI/DWI’s in the last 12 months. • The applicant must have at least six months continuous work history within the past 2 years. • Must have at least one year experience using a yard truck to back trailers to and from loading/unloading docks.
Requirements
