Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting operations (expense reviews, journal entries, reconciliations) Take ownership of selected balance sheet accounts and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations Ensure compliant and efficient processing of expense claims and vendor invoices Take responsibility for specific areas of month-end and year-end closing Maintain general ledger integrity and proper documentation Manage corporate credit card program including reconciliation and policy compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Tokyo and regional finance teams Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives Identify issues and proactively propose improvements in accounting processes Perform other ad hoc tasks as required Take ownership of selected balance sheet accounts and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations Ensure compliant and efficient processing of expense claims and vendor invoices Take responsibility for specific areas of month-end and year-end closing Maintain general ledger integrity and proper documentation Manage corporate credit card program including reconciliation and policy compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Tokyo and regional finance teams Contribute to finance projects and process improvement initiatives Identify issues and proactively propose improvements in accounting processes Perform other ad hoc tasks as required Key Relationships All business Units within the Tokyo office Finance and Tax teams across related companies External vendors

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Nissho Bookkeeping Certification (Level 2 or above preferred) CPA qualification is a plus
Experience
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations, including exposure to month-end close Familiarity with internal control framework is preferred Self-starter with a positive and collaborative attitude Skills & Knowledge Must-have Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (IFRS or JGAAP) Business-level proficiency in English Native-level proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking) Strong Excel skills Knowledge of Japanese consumption tax and withholding tax Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Nice-to-have ERP experience (SAP or similar) Expense systems (Concur etc.)
