Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Lead Charge Capture Nurse to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN Supports the day-to-day operations related to clinical charge audit and charge capture. Supports implementation and maintenance of standardized workflows developed in collaboration with the Director of Charge Capture, Special Projects Manager, and Associate Vice President of Revenue Integrity. Duties

Performs second level charge audit review as requested by staff, payor, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management or Director. Utilizes payor and coding guidelines in working to develop a response plan to these complex cases including new technologies.

Duties

will include but are not limited to extensive research, communicating audit findings in written or verbal format and communicating audit findings with respective departments or payors. Utilizes department best practices to audit in the most efficacious manner possible while promoting continuous quality improvement. Stays current on applicable payor and coding guidelines, industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in nursing including an additional five years’ experience in a revenue cycle related position Valid Kentucky Licensure as a Registered Nurse 3 years broad based acute care nursing experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology and a basic understanding of coding and payment methodologies including DRG and APC.
